A poignant video featuring a giraffe and a pride of lions is doing the rounds of the internet as it conveys an important message on perseverance and determination. The nearly 1.30 minute video was shared on Twitter by Naveed Trumboo of the Indian Revenue Service on Tuesday and has garnered over 11,000 views so far.
The video, in all probability, was recorded by a group of tourists at the Kruger National Park in South Africa. The pride of lions attacked the giraffe in the grasslands but the latter refused to give up. While one of the lions climbed onto the giraffe’s back, several others held onto its leg.
After a while, the giraffe walked ahead while the lions continued with their attempt. Undeterred, the giraffe kept standing for around five hours after being attacked. The lions eventually surrendered as the giraffe escaped from the scenario.
“A lesson on persistence. There will be many who will try to pull you down. But when the going gets tough, the tough gets going. Here, a giraffe managed to keep standing for 5
long hours after being attacked. Eventually the pride of lions had to give up,” Naveed Trumboo said in the caption of his post.
In the comments section of the post, netizens thanked Naveed Trumboo for sharing the video. “You cannot defeat a person who never gives up,” a user said while several others found the video inspiring.
