It is Teacher’s Day today and Google Doodle has come up with a creative illustration to mark the special occasion.

Today’s doodle features an array of objects associated with different subjects we learnt in school. Right from a colour plate to a scale, pencil and craft material, the colourful doodle celebrates all the teachers who made sure that learning never stops. And must we add, Google Doodle’s tribute to teachers might just take you back to school.

The official handle of Google India also took to Instagram to share the adorable doodle. “From being our very first role models to guiding us through life. This #TeachersDay, our #GoogleDoodle celebrates all the teachers who have made sure that learning never stops (sic),” they wrote in the caption.

Netizens loved the doodle and took to the comments section to express their thoughts. Some users even thanked Google for being their teacher.

Teachers’ Day is celebrated on the birth anniversary of former president Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan. He was an impeccable teacher and a promoter of education. Dr Radhakrishnan was born on September 5, 1888, in Tamil Nadu.

Teachers’ Day was first celebrated in 1962, the year he became the second President of India. Since then, it is celebrated every year.
